How to write a lab report

Important Notes:

  • If you have not participated in a lab, you are not allowed to write the lab report. Thus you will receive “0” for the lab.
  • If you do not write your discussion, you will receive “0” for the lab even though you participated and wrote the report together. Therefore, make it sure to write your discussion.

This course comprises four labs.

  • Drag measurements of objects in the wind tunnel using momentum equations
  • Viscosity measurement of non-Newtonian fluids
  • Measurement of condensation efficient over a cylinder
    Boiling heat transfer

A group of 2 or 3 students will conduct a lab and write a lab report together, but each will write discussion separately.

Grading:

Lab reports: 100%
No mid-term and final exams will be given.

Each lab report will be graded as follows:

40% Accuracy and completeness
20% Report writing and effort
40% Discussion (A discussion of at least 2-3 pages is expected.)
